Building on the success of similar events in 2008 and 2009, Stephensons are delighted to announce that, with help from our friends in the bus industry, a network of special services will be operated on Friday January 1st, 2010 (when the usual Arriva and First local services are not running).
Around 18 buses, a mix of modern and "heritage" vehicles - including ex London Routemasters - will operate from around 0930 to 1700 on a number of key routes in the Southend, Rochford and Castle Point districts. In addition, the Castle Point Transport Museum on Canvey Island will be open and served by a half-hourly bus from Southend.
Feeder services will run from London, Chelmsford and Colchester.
Day Rovers are the same price as last year (£6) but valid over a more extensive network ! And all profits go to charity!
