PLUSBUS is a discount price ticket for unlimited bus travel around town (like a "bus pass") that you buy with your train ticket. Bus travel can be at the start, the finish or both ends of your train journey. So you pay for your complete journey in one easy transaction at the train station (or by phone). With Plusbus you can hop-on and off participating bus services around the whole urban area of town. It's a great way to complete the last part of your journey!

Ask for PLUSBUS when buying your train ticket at the station (or by phone) and say which town you want bus travel around. You will be issued with tickets for your train and bus travel. The bus travel element costs between £1.25 and £2.50 on top of the normal cost of the rail ticket.  The origin or destination station of your train journey MUST be outside the relevant bus travel zone in order to buy PLUSBUS

Your PLUSBUS ticket will have '+BUS' printed after the name of your origin or destination station e.g. SOUTHEND+BUS. Simply show this ticket to the driver as you get on the bus.  Buy Plusbus with most train tickets - singles, day returns, period returns and season tickets, and if you have a Railcard, (16-25, Senior, etc.), get a discount too!
